AAA Birthday Challenge - #45 Anything Birthday Goes

 Hello my crafty friends πŸ‘‹πŸ»,

Thank You so much for stopping by :)

New Year Wishes - 2023 πŸŽŠπŸŽ‰πŸŽ†πŸ₯‚ Wishing you a year filled with abundance love, fun and excellent health πŸ’ž

I'm very excited to be a part design team of AAA Birthday Challenge team and sharing today's inspiration with you for current challenge :)

AAA Birthday Challenge is a monthly challenge and this month's theme is make a card with birthday theme (anything birthday goes :) Isn't interesting to play along ?! πŸ₯³

Coming to my today's card, I chose to make a CAS card with the elements which relates to space πŸš€

I stamped spaceship image on to it watercolor paper and colored it using zig markers. Added star die cuts in the layer as a baloon and drew a thread for same. All these were adhered on the white cardstock which was then placed on Navy Blue A2 base cardstock.

This card is an interactive one and I have made a suprise tunnel that opens up when the card is opened. I have added the message and the birthday wishes inside :)

My favourite technique is Ink blending and I have used the same for the inside of the card as a surprise element. To achieve the galaxy effect I have used distress ink on the smooth cardstock and used oval dies to get the spiral effect and adhered the elements to complete the look :)

Sharing the close-up look of the same

I hope you like my card inspiration and if you would like to take part in current challenge please head over to AAA Birthday Challenge Blog and get inspired by my fellow crafters to play along :) We have very talented artists Emma and Deepti as a guest designers for this month !!

'Tis the Season to be Jolly πŸŽ…πŸ»πŸŽπŸŽ„⛄

Hello friends,

Finally I pulled up my courage to participate in MFT SUPERSTAR CONTEST 2022 . Here is my entry Clean and Simple Genius Category.

I have used the Stampset 'Tis the Season, stamped the Santa with gifts sack image using the MFT Extreme Black ink on the kraft cardstock. Colored them using the polychrome pencils and masked the legs & bag and added snow details for added interest. Sentiment was heat embossed. Added white snow details using white gel pen.

Clean and Simple is not my forte, but challenges like these would help me to pull up my socks πŸ™ˆπŸ€©

Hope you like my take on the same ☺️ Please let me know how it has turned out in the comments below πŸ₯°❤️

~ LOVE - you are my happy place 😊

Hi my Crafty Friends,

Hope you are safe and doing well. I am back again with one more LOVE card, please excuse me :) I'm digging out my stash and make it useful. Today's card was made using the color inspiration challenge from MFT , also challenged myself to not to use any critters.

And thus the card made with only dies. I chose a word die from MFT and die cut them in the Kraft cardstock, and adhered a vellum panel to the back of it and colored them in the shades of challenge. Later to add an interest, I gave a stamp border look to that panel with partial diecutting. This panel was adhered to white cardstock to pop up the colors in the back of vellum.

I couldn't resist myself so stamped little birdie and colored them. Sentiment was embossed on a black strip of paper and adhered using a foam tape for the dimensional look.

Hope you like my take for the challenge, do let me know how it has turned out in the comments below. Also if you wish to see more such projects do visit my Instagram handle - papiershades

~ Lots of LOVE / Heart πŸ’•

Hello my Crafty Friends,

I am back with one more valentine card, but with the twist is using only dies. I wanted to make a non-critter card using Lawn Fawn supplies and I was pretty happy with the outcome after many tweaks.

The card panel was ink blended using the Craftyscrappers Premium Inks - they are very juicy and blended well with the shades in red. I have used outside in stitched heart stackable dies and cut the inked panel. Using the fancy lattice backdrop die - white and gold panel die cuts was taken and negative die cuts were used in the heart panel.

It did take some time to stick those tiny parts to the panel and I followed Pop Up DieCut Inlaid technique here. I chose the sentiments from reveal Wheel sentiment stamp set , it was heat embossed on black piece of strip. All these elements where adhered flat with liquid glue on A2 top folding card leaving a small border. Lastly few gold splatters and pearls to beautify the card :) Below is the close-up pic. Is'nt it look pretty ?! 😁

Hope you like my take on this card, do let me know how it has turned out in the comments below.

~ nothing is better than a TRUE FRIEND πŸ‘―πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’—πŸŽ•

 Hello Everyone,

I am back again with this beautiful floral card which is dedicated to my dear friend Disha. She is a avid crafter with a kind and beautiful soul. She is been a constant cheerleader to me and I want to THANK YOU DISHA for everything :) 😘

Today's card has a simple watercolor floral panel with the dry embossing on the right side :) I have used small flowers from Garden Treasure stamp set.

I have masked the big flower and added small ones along with leaves around. I have colored them using the zig markers in the shades of pink , yellow and green which is also the colors of Altenew's January Inspirtation Challenge. I had also stamped small flowers separately and fussy cut them which was adhered flat on the lower side of the side.

To give a dramatic look to the panel, I chose a loose watercolor shades around the flowers and added splatters :)  This panel is adhered on olive based cardstock with sentiment on the black strip

Hope you like this card, do let me know how it has turned out in the comments below.

Sending You Oceans of Love πŸ’ž

Hello my Crafty Friends,

Hope you all are doing well. This week was more for resting and taking care of health as we all were tested positive. Since I had to be isolated I could make today's card for the current MFT sketch challenge.

It has many of its first's 😍 I wanted  to try my hands in several things πŸ˜† Cute Mermaid is colored using alcohol markers ( my first try ) and background was of course ink blending (my favorite technique) also bubble (using pencils ) . I was inspired by Rahmat mam card (bubble tutorial) and wanted to try it here.

Background was made using the distress inks and the colors I chose was Chipped Sapphire, Mermaid Lagoon & Peacock feathers. For bubble I have used polychromes pencils in the shades of blue, purple yellow, green and orange. Fun part is splatters of white. Below is the close up pic of the mermaid.

The card design and arrangement is very simple and self explainable. As I said earlier, it was made for MFT Sketch Challenge - 577

Hope you like my take on the challenge . I would be happy if you would share your feedback on the same in the comment below.

I Love You So Mush !!! πŸ’“

Hi dear Crafty Friends,

How are you all ? Hope you all are safe and enjoying the upcoming season of love. I guess you guys must be busy making some Valentine's day inspired cards by now πŸ˜ƒ

Today I have a card made using a stamp sets from Lawn Fawn called 'mermaid-for-you'. I have stamped the critters on a watercolor cardstock, colored using the zig markers. These are fussy cut images. I love making shaped cards and wanted this card to be in circle shaped. Few die cuts are made using the circle dies both in colored cardstock and the vellum. For the ocean effect I have used  stitched-windy-backdrop and stitched-wave-borders. All the elements were adhered to the base using foam and liquid adhesives. At last added few clear pearls using the glossy accents. I choose a red cardstock for the sentiment which says I love you so mush !!! It was heat embossed and hand cut :)

This card is just perfect for the coming season of LOVE πŸ’– I love making shaped cards and I Hope you like this too. Do let me know how it is and share your thoughts in the comment section below. I would be happy to read your comments :)

A Little Note of Thanks :)

 Hi Crafty Friends ,

Starting a  year with a little note of thanks through this card to all my crafty friends and everyone here for encouraging and supporting :)

We have a new challenge at our monthly collaboration under #craftingwithcraftyfriend .  The challenge of this month is to use the Cue from our Initials and combine it with card making techniques. In my case its D & J , I have used debossing + die cutting along with a jute chord for todays card.

I have used few colored / inked cardstocks and took a flower die cuts out of it. Adhered few green strips to the stem of the flower and used a jute chord. Added a small birdie with a note saying " A Little Note of Thanks " as a sentiment for the card. This technique was so new to me and I completely enjoyed making it. Hope you like it too :)

Love and Hugs,

Deekshita :)

Make A Wish

 Hello my Crafty Friends,

How are you doing?! Hope it was fun Christmas time with your near and dear ones :) I had a fun festive time with my family members after a very long time. Wishing you all Merry Christmas and very Happy New Year

What's your favorite technique in cardmaking ?! Mine is ink-blending :)

I wanted to achieve this northern lights/aurora effect for background of my card .To achieve that I have used distress inks for today's card : tumbled glass, salty ocean , evergreen bough and chipped sapphire

I came across this ink blending method from Beccy's blog and was inspired from her card :) She has explained it so neatly. Thank you Beccy :)  I have used critters and dies from Lawn Fawn. Colored them using zig markers. Added a vellum to die cut for extra layers. Below is the final look of the my card and I hope you like it :)

Winter Wishes

 Hi Crafty Friends,

Thank you so much for stopping by, and I'm sorry for being mia here on blogpost. I do share my card and projects in Instagram. You can find them in the below link :

https://www.instagram.com/papiershades/

How fun is this would be ?! A group of crafty friends join together and challenge each other with card techniques , color palette and sketches every month. This is fun crafty initiative was started by Swapna along with Disha and me. One can find the posts under the hashtag #craftingwithcraftyfriend on Instagram :)

Today I'm here to share a card that is made using only dies. I have die cut several flowers and placed each petals on one other using a liquid glue , also shaped the edges of flower . Attached the half pearl sequins in red for the pollen look. For leaves, I have used a vellum die cuts and placed behind the flowers. These die cuts where placed on the white note card. Card base is in the size of mini slim line which measures 31/4 " inches by 61/4" inches. This is my first time that I have chose only whites on my card except the cream cardstock for matted look. I took a white smaller panel which is slightly less than the cream one and scored lines from top right side to 3/4th of the card for embossing look. Also arranged the flowers along with the leaves on them and added few sequins and splatters of gold for the shine :)

Love and Hugs,

Deekshita :)
